| Artist's Statement
Creating the three dimensional form should be thought provoking in all directions. It immortalizes the artist’s thoughts.
I give each clay form the illusion of having a personality that sets the stage for every sculpture, whether it’s North American Wild Life or the portrait in clay. It’s the personality that gives it the punch, the sassy attitude, serenity or menace. It’s like breathing energy into the clay.
Life is an ongoing process and so is my work. I’m never afraid to try a new technique, a new clay and I’m never so in love with the last project that I won’t push the limit on the next project.
I’m lucky to have an acute tactile sense; it’s only natural I would love the clay.
