Raised in San Diego California, Diane is a “city kid”. She was influenced by the master works at the San Diego Museum of Art, most notably, the exquisite paintings by French master Bouguereau. “There is something about being in an Art Museum that just speaks to you. I’m in my own world.”
Diane is a professionally accomplished artist, currently specializing in the Portrait Bust in Bronze. “My goal is to make each bust look like he or she is alive and ready to have a conversation.” A number of her commissioned bronzes are in the permanent collections of Grossmont Hospital, The Stein School of Education, and San Diego State University. Her life-sized bust of NBA great, Bill Walton, is permanently installed at the Bill Walton Gymnasium in La Mesa, California.
Majoring in Fine Art at San Diego State University (graduating with Distinction) gave Diane the diversity to perfect her skills as a Bronze Sculptor.
Diane is a member of the San Diego Museum of Art, Artist Guild, National Sculpture Society, The Portrait Society of America, and the San Diego State University Artists Alumna. Her work is on display at the California State Capitol Building, White Sage Gallery in El Cajon, California, and featured in numerous exhibitions including at The Olaf Wieghorst Museum and Western Heritage Center.
Diane lives in Alpine California with her husband, and best critic, Bill.
